Project Description
The principals of Hudson McDonald began work on this project while employed by the developer. The developer then retained Hudson McDonald to perform the project management services required to complete the project. The new building replaced a defunct, single-story masonry structure and an unsightly billboard. Bachenheimer's tower provides a visual termination for Shattuck Avenue. The original owner of the property partnered with the developer to convert his land holdings into an asset more appropriate for estate planning.
The principals of Hudson McDonald were involved in all aspects of this project, from identifying the property, designing the project, securing the financing, and managing the construction. They placed a special emphasis on working with the architect to create an award-winning, cost-effective building with an historic appearance. They were also hired by the ownership entity to complete the complex transition from construction period financing to permanent financing.
