Project Description
While employed by Panoramic Interests, LLC, the principals of Hudson McDonald served as project managers for this 71-unit, mixed-use apartment project located at the corner of Acton Street and University Avenue in central Berkeley. The project is the first "catalyst project" identified in Berkeley's 1996 University Avenue Strategic Plan. Built on surplus state property, the project is the result of a successful partnership between the City of Berkeley, a local faith-based not-for-profit organization, and a private developer.
As project managers, the principals of Hudson McDonald directed the design and entitlements process, completed the land acquisition agreements, secured the project financing, and managed the building's construction.
